Dr Asiah Elmedhem graduated from The University of Dundee in 2010, where she was awarded the British Society of Restorative Dentistry Undergraduate Prize in recognition of her outstanding achievement in her undergraduate degree. With over 15 years of clinical experience, Dr Elmedhem has practised across the UK in Scotland and England, and beyond in the Middle East, giving her extensive experience in treating patients from a wide range of clinical backgrounds. Fluent in both English and Arabic, she is able to communicate effectively with a diverse patient population and is committed to providing personalised, patient-centred care. She has a particular interest in endodontics and oral surgery procedures, and enjoys diagnosing and managing a vast range of clinical cases and working with multi-disciplinary dental professionals to deliver the highest level of patient care. Alongside her clinical practice, Dr Elmedhem is a member of the Teaching Faculty for the Bachelor of Dental Surgery degree (BDS) at King’s College London, where she teaches and examines undergraduate dental students. She also serves as an examiner for the Faculty of Dental Surgery- The Royal College of Surgeons of England, reflecting her commitment to maintaining and upholding the highest standards expected of the dental profession. She is committed to ongoing professional development and has obtained her Membership Diploma with the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, as well as a Postgraduate Certificate in Orthodontics. Dr Elmedhem’s clinical background includes serving as a Locum Dental Officer with the UK Ministry of Defence, providing dental care within British Army Royal Barracks and the Royal Air Force Command Centre, delivering comprehensive treatment in high-standard military clinical environments. Beyond her work in the UK, Dr Elmedhem is actively involved in ongoing humanitarian dentistry at the Mavrouvouni Refugee Camp in Lesbos, Greece, where she volunteers her time providing emergency dental care to displaced communities with limited access to treatment.
